About the Candidate
I am Ray Owensby, an ASE Certified Heavy/Medium Duty Gas/Diesel & Trailer Mechanic based in Alpharetta, GA, with a Class B CDL and over 20 years of hands-on experience. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive expertise in maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles, including Mack, Volvo, Freightliner, Isuzu, Hino, Detroit, Pacarr, and Cummins.
Currently, I serve as a Leadman/Supervisor at Penske Truck Leasing, where I oversee shift operations, perform maintenance and repairs, conduct D.O.T inspections, and manage fleet maintenance scheduling. My responsibilities also include welding, electrical troubleshooting, body repair, and training coworkers.
Previously, I held similar roles at Advance Disposal Services and Greyhound, where I honed my skills in hydraulic systems, engine repair, and customer service. My background also includes experience as a Diesel Technician at United Waste and a Maintenance Manager/Supervisor at Logistic International of Georgia.
I hold an Associate degree in Electronic & Computer Technology from Devry and have completed numerous training courses in preventive maintenance, brakes, A/C repair, engine and electrical troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication. I am certified in multiple ASE specialties, including brakes, suspension, electrical/electronics, HVAC, and preventive maintenance.
With a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, I am eager to continue applying my technical expertise and leadership skills in a challenging and dynamic environment.
