We are looking for a skilled and passionate Auto Body Technician to join our team and contribute to the restoration of some of the most iconic vehicles on the road today. Position Overview: As an Auto Body Technician at Barr's Performance Restoration, you will be responsible for performing high-quality body repair work on classic and high-performance vehicles. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to restore vehicles to their original condition or better, ensuring that all work meets our rigorous standards and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Body Repair: Perform vehicle body repairs according to manufacturer standards and repair estimates, ensuring that all work is completed with precision and accuracy. Parts Management: Verify that parts match the repair estimate and ensure that all necessary parts are ordered and received in a timely manner. Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicles for body repair work, including disassembly, sanding, and masking. Quality Control: Notify management of any additional repairs needed or any issues that may affect the quality of the repair or the promised completion time. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition and report any malfunctions to management. Safety Compliance: Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, and comply with all safety regulations, including those related to hazardous materials. Team Collaboration: Assist and cooperate with other team members in the repair and prepping of vehicles, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA regulations. Operational Safety: Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner, following best practices to prevent accidents and injuries. Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the body shop. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician, with a strong background in vehicle body repair and restoration. Familiarity with classic and high-performance vehicles is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Knowledge of safety and health regulations related to auto body repair. Proficiency with body shop tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenges as they arise.
