About Pete's Custom Coachbuilding
Pete's Custom Coachbuilding, known as PCC, restores vintage sports cars from its shop on Kinsman Road in Newbury Township, Ohio. The shop takes on complete ground-up restorations and preservation work. Sheet-metal fabrication, MIG and TIG welding, bodywork, paint and final assembly are all done in-house, and the shop can recreate or redesign custom panels and parts when originals are missing. Porsche 356 restorations and BMW Isetta microcars are among its specialties. Past projects have included Alfa Romeo, Rolls-Royce, Packard, Triumph and classic American cars. The posted Assembly/Mechanic Tech position reflects that range. PCC is looking for a skilled assembly technician or mechanic who cares about quality craftsmanship and is comfortable working across a varied group of project cars. The shop combines metal shaping, auto body, paint and mechanical restoration, so the assembly role sits where those disciplines meet: freshly finished bodies get their trim, hardware and mechanical components here. Patience and careful fitment count for as much as speed. Founder Pete Jackson started restoring cars at 14 with a Volkswagen Beetle and previously worked at several restoration shops in Northeast Ohio. He studied metal shaping under Fay Butler, and the shop's focus on rare and unusual cars grows out of that background.
