Position Overview: Crazy Horse Hot Rods is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Classic Car Mechanic to assist with bodywork and paint prep. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a basic skill set in automotive repair who is eager to grow and learn in a creative and collaborative environment. While previous experience in bodywork and paint prep is a plus, it is not required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of classic cars and hot rods for bodywork and painting, including sanding, masking, and priming surfaces. Support experienced technicians with minor bodywork tasks such as filling, shaping, and smoothing vehicle panels. Perform basic mechanical tasks to support the restoration process, including disassembling and reassembling vehicle components as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly cared for. Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Qualifications: Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics and bodywork. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. A passion for classic cars and custom builds is highly desirable.
