Automotive Restoration Specialist

In this role, you'll repair new or classic vehicles with the goal of returning them to their best possible condition. You may replace old parts and use specialized tools or techniques to make the car look and function like new. You'll restore cars to the way manufacturers originally built them or add new technologies and components to create faster, safer versions of old vehicles, while maintaining a classic appearance. Helpful qualifications include: * A love of antique cars and an auto body repair degree from a technical school. * 1-2 years of experience or more with classic cars and mechanics. Duties: - Perform restoration work on vehicles, including but not limited to auto body repair. - Use specialized equipment and tools to restore vehicles to their pre-damage condition. - Conduct inspections and assessments of damaged vehicles to determine the necessary repairs. - Repair and replace damaged parts, panels, and components as needed. - Perform equipment repairs and maintenance as required. Tasks: - Strong experience in surface work, high build blocking, panel straightening, panel fit, body alignment, painting, color sanding and buffing high end finishes. - Metal (both steel and Aluminum) repair and fabrication skills, welding, media blasting, disassembly and assembly. Experience: - Previous experience in auto body repair or automotive service is required. - Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is preferred. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
