About the role AutoMat Custom & Restoration, a Long Island shop with nearly 70 years in business, is hiring an experienced classic car mechanic. The work ranges from one-day repairs to multi-year frame-off builds on muscle cars, resto-mods, street rods, antiques and exotics: engine and transmission swaps, carb rebuilds, disc brake conversions, suspension and steering upgrades, wiring harnesses and A/C. Real classic car experience and your own tools are required. What the employer highlighted Must have extensive hands-on experience with classic cars, not just modern vehicles.
