About Cars Remember When
Cars Remember When sells, services and restores classic, muscle and antique cars from two locations in the south Denver suburbs. The Englewood showroom on South Santa Fe Drive houses sales, consignment, mechanical service and a performance center with an all-wheel-drive dyno. A separate restoration center in Littleton handles paint, bodywork, frame-off rotisserie restorations, detailing and dry ice blasting. The Classic Car Mechanic job is based in Englewood and focuses mainly on American cars from the 1950s through the 1990s. The work includes inspections, diagnosis, repair estimates and rebuilding brakes, carburetors, differentials and fuel systems, along with fuel injection conversions, sub-chassis modernization, crate engine installs and resto-mod projects. It is hourly rather than flat-rate, with a weekly bonus tied to billable work, and the shop will train a strong mechanic who has less classic experience. At the Littleton restoration center, the Auto Body and Restoration Technician handles full and cosmetic restorations, with metal straightening, rust repair, panel replacement and MIG welding, plus some mechanical and wiring work. Both roles come with PPO medical insurance, with the company paying 80 percent of the employee premium, two weeks of paid time off and six paid holidays.
