About Motoriot

Motoriot, based at 21 Bridge Street in Kent, Connecticut, builds and sells restored vintage 4x4s. Every build starts from a genuine vintage body checked against a 120-point inspection. From there it goes one of two ways: a crate-engine swap with a modern transmission and four-wheel disc brakes, or a restored original drivetrain with upgraded suspension, wiring and cooling. Frame-off restorations are done with partner workshops in the U.S., Spain and Colombia, and the Kent shop also handles routine service, engine swaps, custom fabrication and consignment. Two technician roles have been posted. One calls for Land Rover and classic off-road experience; its posting says the company has grown from a team of two to a crew of ten. The other, an Auto Mechanic listing, covers vintage Toyota, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Porsche and American muscle vehicles and says fuel injection and carburetion experience is helpful.
