Classic Land Rover Technician

North America Overland (NAO) is a small, specialized shop dedicated to the full restoration of 1950s, 60s, and 70s Land Rovers. For over 12 years, we have been building iconic vehicles for customers worldwide, combining craftsmanship with a deep passion for classic Land Rovers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to our legacy of excellence. Position Overview: We are currently seeking a full-time Classic Car Technician to join our small, dedicated team at North America Overland. This role involves working closely with our experienced staff to assemble vintage Land Rovers from the ground up. Tasks will include assembling rolling chassis, building motors, installing bodies on frames, and getting the vehicles running smoothly. While specific knowledge of Land Rovers is not required, previous experience working on vintage cars is essential. Key Responsibilities: Assemble rolling chassis, including suspension, brakes, and drivetrain components. Build and install motors, ensuring they meet the specifications for vintage Land Rovers. Install bodies on frames, aligning and securing all components for a precise fit. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to get vehicles running efficiently. Collaborate with a small team to ensure each project meets our high standards of quality. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of experience working as an automotive technician, preferably with classic or vintage cars. Proficiency in automotive assembly, engine building, and mechanical troubleshooting. Own a set of high-quality tools required for the job. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a small, close-knit team. Willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of Land Rover restorations. Reliable transportation and the ability to commute or relocate to Monroe, CT. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, with a 30-minute daily lunch break. Benefits: On-the-job training and development opportunities.
