Position Overview: We are actively seeking a Classic Car Automotive Technician to join our team at Joe Basil Chevrolet. We are looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals who are passionate about classic cars and committed to delivering high-quality service. Compensation: $50,000 - $85,000 annually (based on knowledge, experience, and volume) Key Responsibilities: Perform general mechanical services on classic cars ranging from the 1940s to the early 2000s. Carry out basic brake, suspension, transmission, and engine services. Conduct minor interior trim repairs and electrical repairs. Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards. Examine assigned vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicate and collaborate effectively with the parts department to obtain necessary parts. Consult with the service advisor if additional work is needed or recommended. Accurately document all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Road test vehicles when required to ensure proper repair and performance. Maintain thorough knowledge of manufacturer technical bulletins. Ensure that the customer’s vehicle is kept clean throughout the repair process. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Qualifications: General mechanical knowledge of classic cars from the 1940s through the early 2000s. Must have personal tools necessary to perform automotive repairs. Valid NYS Inspectors License is required. Valid Driver's License is required.
