BMW Automotive Technician

BMW of Brooklyn is seeking an experienced and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining BMW vehicles, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of performance and safety. Key Responsibilities: Perform work as described on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following BMW factory standards. Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and recommend appropriate repairs. Inspect vehicles to identify necessary repairs or maintenance items not included on the repair order and communicate findings to service advisors. Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain required parts for repairs. Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on the repair order is not necessary, or if repairs cannot be completed by the promised time. Document all work performed clearly and accurately. Conduct road tests to ensure the quality of repairs or refer to the inspection technician as necessary. Perform video walkarounds and multi-point inspections (MPI) to provide customers with a comprehensive overview of their vehicle's condition. Qualifications: Valid New York State Driver’s License with a clean driving record. New York State inspector’s license. Previous BMW technician experience is strongly preferred; automotive technician experience is required. Basic mechanical skills and manual dexterity. Proficiency with shop equipment, including wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic tools, and more. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
