Job Description
This role is a contract position through Corestaff, with placement at Porsche Cars North America in Atlanta, GA. The Classic Car Technician will perform restorations, maintenance, and repairs on classic Porsche vehicles, ensuring they meet Porsche Classic standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, executing repairs, interacting with customers, and collaborating with the Classic and PEC Workshop Teams to meet performance targets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with classic Porsche models, strong diagnostic skills, and a passion for classic cars. Competitive pay based on experience.
Position Overview:
Recommend and perform restorations on engines, transmissions, body work, electrical, and suspension components per Porsche Classic standards.
Conduct major & minor services, repairs, tire & wheel changes.
Review work orders, discuss with supervisors, and lead projects.
Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
Read test reports, repair orders, and coordinate workflow.
Diagnose errors using diagnostic tools, create repair lists, and performance charts.
Support cost estimates for repairs.
Plan and execute work procedures, ensuring quality and completeness.
Examine vehicles for damage or malfunctions and follow checklists.
Collaborate with Classic Team and PEC Workshop Team to meet targets.
Perform cleaning, test drives, and final inspections.
Guide junior technicians and maintain Porsche Classic Standards training.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Automotive technical degree, Porsche Gold/Silver/Bronze Master Technician Certification, Porsche Classic Technician Certification.
Experience: 5 years as a Porsche Technician, Classic Porsche Restoration & Repair.
Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Fluent in English; German a plus.
Proficient with Porsche special tools, PIWIS Diagnostic systems, computer skills, and CDK software.
Knowledge of Classic Porsche vehicles and air-cooled engines.
Skilled in mounting/balancing tires and vehicle alignment.
Schedule/Shift:
Monday-Friday standard on-site
Weekends as needed
