Classics Sales Consultant

Position Summary: The Sales Consultant is responsible for selling vehicles by understanding customer needs, providing detailed information, and maintaining a high-quality inventory through thorough vehicle inspections. This role is critical in achieving sales targets and supporting the overall success of the team. Key Responsibilities: Log and follow up with sales leads to convert them into successful sales. Write detailed vehicle descriptions that accurately represent the condition and features of each car. Conduct equipment and condition checks on all incoming vehicles to ensure quality standards are met. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, including arranging financing and shipping as needed. Keep the sales floor organized and presentable. Participate in and support Gateway’s Caffeine and Chrome events and the annual Holiday Party. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales quotas and provide backup to other employees as needed. Occasionally train new Sales Associates and provide support to other showrooms, which may require some travel. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Basic automotive knowledge and a passion for classic and exotic cars. Prior sales experience is preferred. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Basic computer skills are required; CRM experience is a plus. Working Hours: Showrooms are open Monday-Saturday, 9 am-5 pm. Employees work 5 days a week, with Saturday as a required workday. Scheduled days off include Sunday and one additional weekday, depending on showroom staffing levels. Working hours are from 8:45 am-5:15 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Compensation: Commission-based income with earning potential ranging from $50,000 to $90,000 annually. Benefits: 401(k) with matching contributions. Paid Basic Life and AD&D Insurance.
