Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Upholstery Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with some experience in upholstery work who is passionate about producing extremely high-quality results. You will work alongside our team of expert craftsmen, learning and contributing to the restoration and customization of world-class vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of interior and upholstery restoration, replacement, and repair, including seats, trim, lining, and more.
Execute highly customized installations and precision vintage restoration.
Install convertible soft tops with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Work with a wide variety of premium upholstery materials, ensuring top-quality results.
Utilize sewing machines extensively and apply various upholstery techniques.
Perform hand-crafted upholstery work to achieve Concourse-level quality.
Operate tools and equipment, including drills, to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
Some formal education or training in upholstery work, automotive upholstery preferred.
Knowledge of materials such as leathers, fabrics, carpets, padding, threads, headliners, and convertible tops.
Understanding of each material’s suitability for specific applications.
Familiarity with upholstery machinery and equipment.
Ability to produce Concourse quality upholstery work.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Knowledge of vintage upholstery production techniques and materials for period-correct reproductions.
Experience working with a wide variety of marques, including German, Italian, and American vehicles.
