Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer. The Service Writer will be responsible for managing customer interactions, advising on vehicle services, and coordinating with our automotive technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities: – Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, and listen to their concerns or requests regarding their vehicles. – Collect relevant information about the vehicle’s history, symptoms, and maintenance records. – Provide accurate estimates for the cost of services and timelines for completion, based on initial diagnostic checks and technician recommendations. – Schedule appointments for vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance services, and coordinate with the service department to ensure smooth workflow. – Communicate effectively with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their vehicles and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. – Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service requests, work performed on vehicles, and billing information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. – Act as a liaison between customers and automotive technicians, conveying information about vehicle issues and ensuring that recommended services are completed to the customer’s satisfaction. – Resolve customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to management as needed to ensure customer satisfaction. – Stay informed about automotive industry trends, technical developments, and manufacturer recalls or service bulletins, and communicate relevant information to customers and technicians. Requirements: – Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the automotive industry. – Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and other team members. – Knowledge of automotive systems and terminology, with the ability to understand and explain complex technical issues to customers. – Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively. – Proficiency in computer software programs, including MS Office and automotive service management software. – High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in automotive technology or customer service is a plus. – Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
