Job description: Join Our Team at Hot Rod Preserve Hot Rod Preserve is a Classic Automotive Restoration shop based in Dripping Springs TX on the Speeding Springs compound, specializing in traditional early Ford hot rod builds and American classics made before 1970. Founded in 2021, our team is dedicated to preserving automotive history through high-quality craftsmanship, focusing on custom metal fabrication and frame-off restorations. With a reputation for creating award-winning builds, we combine vintage aesthetics with modern precision to deliver unmatched quality for our clients. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking an experienced Metal Shaper/Fabricator to join our team. If you have a passion for hot rods and a proven ability to transform raw metal into art, we want to hear from you. This role requires hands-on expertise in metal shaping, welding, and custom restoration, with a focus on detail and creativity to bring classic cars back to life. Qualifications At least 2 years of professional experience in metal shaping, fabrication, or a closely related field. Expertise in TIG welding (required); MIG welding experience is a plus. Proficiency in using metal shaping tools and machinery, such as English wheels, planishing hammers, shrinker/stretchers, and bead rollers. Strong skills in rust repair, large panel replacement, and fabrication of custom parts. Ability to remove and reinstall major components, including engines, transmissions, axles, and body panels. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards. Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude.
