The Hot Rod Preserve is a renowned Classic Automotive Restoration shop with a specialty in Traditional Early Ford Hot Rod builds. We service any American make or model prior to 1970, with a primary focus on metal fabrication to customize the body and frame to our customers’ specifications. Our passion lies in the hot rodding industry, and we are looking for individuals who share this passion and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar or closely related field. This is not a training position; we are seeking professionals who are ready to contribute their skills and expertise from day one. Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator, Mechanic, or Technician to join our dynamic team. Your role will involve working on classic vehicles, with duties ranging from metal fabrication to mechanical repairs. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our builds meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities: General Understanding of Classic Vehicles: Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and body issues. Metal Fabrication: Extensive experience with TIG welding is a must. Machinery & Tooling: Confidently operate machinery and tooling in the shop. Component Installation: Removal and re-installation of engine, transmission, axles, body, and other major components of classic cars. Rust Repair: Address rust issues with precision and care. Panel Replacement & Repairs: Handle large panel replacements and repairs with a focus on quality. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of work completed. Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy work area and personal appearance. Teamwork & Attitude: Bring a positive, helpful attitude to the team.
