Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled mechanic with a strong passion for classic cars to join our growing business. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of classic American vehicles, ensuring they remain roadworthy and performing at their best.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues in classic cars, American Muscle cars, and Hot Rods.
Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance.
Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs.
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
Communicate effectively with customers about repairs, maintenance needs, and provide recommendations for future work.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License
Reliable transportation
In-depth knowledge of classic car mechanics, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, fuel systems, ignition systems, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and exhaust systems.
Knowledge of shop equipment.
Ability to perform light fabrication and MIG welding.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Deadline and detail-oriented.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Strong passion for keeping classic cars on the road.
Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vintage and performance vehicles
Perform routine tune-ups and scheduled maintenance
Provide labor and time estimates for repairs
Source parts and materials needed for each job
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
Communicate clearly with customers about repairs and maintenance
Provide recommendations for future work
Skills
In-depth knowledge of classic car mechanics:
Engines, transmissions, axles, brake systems, fuel systems, ignition systems, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC, and exhaust systems
Proficiency with shop equipment and diagnostic tools:
Vacuum gauge, timing light, brake lathe, hydraulic press, drill press, scope, scan tools, A/C machine, welder
Ability to perform light fabrication
MIG welding experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
Cleanliness and pride in your workspace
Good communication and customer service skills
Requirements
Experience working on classic or performance vehicles
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Available to work weekends when necessary
