Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, we are known for our extensive collection of rare and unique vehicles, particularly European models from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Our dealership is not only a marketplace but also a cultural hub where fine art meets automotive excellence. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Classic Car Mechanic and Sales Associate. This dual role is perfect for someone with a deep appreciation for classic European cars and a talent for sales. The ideal candidate will be adept at both maintaining and restoring classic vehicles and providing exceptional customer service to our clientele. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Duties: Diagnose, repair, and restore classic European cars from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Perform routine maintenance, including engine work, electrical systems, and bodywork. Source and install authentic parts to maintain vehicle originality and performance. Conduct thorough inspections and road tests to ensure quality and safety. Maintain detailed records of repairs and restorations. Sales Duties: Greet and assist customers, providing knowledgeable advice on our inventory of classic cars. Conduct sales presentations and test drives, highlighting the unique features and history of each vehicle. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Assist in the preparation of sales contracts and financing options. Stay informed about market trends and new inventory arrivals to provide up-to-date information to customers. Qualifications: Extensive experience in classic car restoration and maintenance, with a focus on European models. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Previous sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for classic cars and a deep understanding of their historical significance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
