About the Shop
Westchester Classic Cars & Coachwork Ltd. is a restoration and collision shop at 7 Shalvoys Lane in Danbury, Connecticut. Raymond Nosworthy founded it in 1984; his son Dwayne joined in 1986 and took over the company in 2000. The shop works on exotic, classic and new model-year vehicles for private collectors, car rental agencies, fleet operators, dealerships and insurance companies. Its equipment includes custom spray booths, 3-D laser chassis measuring, a Carbench jig and estimating software, and the shop calls itself an I-CAR Gold Class facility.
The current openings cover most of the shop floor: a General Mechanic, an I-CAR Certified Technician, a Body Tech, and a Vehicle Prep and Assembly/Disassembly Technician. The body tech posting asks applicants to send a portfolio of past work and says I-CAR certification is preferred. The prep and assembly role means tearing down and reassembling both new and classic vehicles, which is the groundwork for every paint and collision job. Applicants can use the general form on the shop's website, which accepts a resume.
Repairs follow OEM-recommended procedures, and the shop backs its repair work with a one-year warranty and its paintwork with a lifetime warranty.
