Qualifications

Performance, motorsport, and welding experience a plus.

Drive both manual and automatic transmissions.

Job Duties
Perform assigned repairs using manufacturer and dealership standards and guidelines.
Proficiently use a computer for diagnostic and programming purposes.
Test, check and road-test each vehicle as necessary to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.
Perform work in the priority assigned by the Shop Manager.
Give adequate notice if a promised completion time cannot be achieved.
Keep Service Advisor informed of vehicle’s progress.
Return vehicle in clean condition (disinfected).
Familiarize and utilize all of the shop’s resources.
Be a man or woman of their word and to stand behind the quality of their work.
Technicians will be responsible for performing service inspections, diagnosing the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and performing appropriate repairs from recommended service plans by using diagnostic software, engine analyzers, and compression gauges. The technicians will also examine the vehicles to identify necessary repairs or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order. We work on performance builds so performance and welding knowledge is also a plus.
Technicians are expected to take photos and videos and type detailed notes. They will need to exemplify good communication and customer service skills to interact with clients to explain inspection videos or advisory notes. We are a hands-on team and expect everyone to help each other do the best job for our clients.
Technicians are expected to use common and specialty hand tools, including grinding machines, hoists, flame-cutters, lathes, and pneumatic devices. In addition, they will need to employ high-tech tools to repair the onboard computers and electronic components that operate many of the car’s highly integrated internal systems.
Technicians are required to communicate directly with the Shop Manager and/or Service Advisor on the status of their projects each day. All work must be clearly and accurately documented and must be approved by Shop Manager before leaving each day.

Participate in all Gateway Caffeine and Chrome events, as well as the Holiday Party.
Occasionally train new Inventory Consultants or provide backup support to other showrooms, which may require travel.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
Strong knowledge of classic cars.
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Basic computer skills required; CRM experience is a plus.
Hours:
Showrooms are open Monday-Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Employees work 5 days a week, with Saturday being a required workday.
Sunday and one additional day off during the week.
Scheduled working hours are 8:45 AM - 5:15 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Pay:
Commission-based income with earning potential of $50,000 - $65,000 in the first year.

Qualifications

Unique Cars of Palm Beach is looking for an Automotive Restoration Technician with a broad range and Experience in working with Classic Mercedes-Benz. Our technicians work closely with all other departments during disassembly, reassembly, and component rebuilding.
Mechanical Restoration Technicians work under the supervision of the Shop Foreman, and also areexpected to work independently. Not all technicians are qualified to perform all duties, but fully experienced staff members have worked up to proficiency in most of the following areas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Initial project car evaluation and diagnosis to generate project plan and recommendations
Organize the disassembly, cataloging of components, and reassembly of the car
Specify project parts needed to Parts Department and follow up on special orders
Mechanical overhauls of all driveline units and components
Electrical system overhauls, harness repair and fabrication
Suspension rebuilding and setup
Individual mechanical parts stripping, prepping and painting, utilizing professional systems: epoxy primers, urethanes, and HVLP spray equipment
Diagnostic and critical road testing, tuning and sorting of finished work
Maintain detailed records of work performed contributing to a comprehensive history of each car
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A positive attitude and strong, team-oriented, communication skills
Ability to coordinate and collaborate with all other departments
Deep understanding of automotive mechanical fundamentals
Ability to explain diagnosis and needed repairs to management and/or customers
