You'll restore cars to the way manufacturers originally built them or add new technologies and components to create faster, safer versions of old vehicles, while maintaining a classic appearance.
Helpful qualifications include:
* A love of antique cars and an auto body repair degree from a technical school.
* 1-2 years of experience or more with classic cars and mechanics.
Duties:
- Perform restoration work on vehicles, including but not limited to auto body repair.
- Use specialized equipment and tools to restore vehicles to their pre-damage condition.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of damaged vehicles to determine the necessary repairs.
- Repair and replace damaged parts, panels, and components as needed.
- Perform equipment repairs and maintenance as required.
Tasks:
- Strong experience in surface work, high build blocking, panel straightening, panel fit, body alignment, painting, color sanding and buffing high end finishes.
- Metal (both steel and Aluminum) repair and fabrication skills, welding, media blasting, disassembly and assembly.
Experience:
- Previous experience in auto body repair or automotive service is required.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
