Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Specialist to join our Collector Car Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of classic, modern, and contemporary collector cars and a proven track record in auction or collector car sales. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with buyers and sellers, managing auction appraisals, and contributing to the overall strategy of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Prospect new business through a network of clients and dealers, aiming to meet or exceed annual sales targets. Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers and sellers to foster repeat business.
Auction Management: Oversee auction appraisals, accept and prepare consignments, and assist in cataloging properties accurately.
Strategy and Event Support: Work with the Head of Department to develop new business strategies and attend motoring events to drive additional business. Participate in the development and editing of auction catalogs.
Team Support: Support junior specialists, fostering their development and market knowledge.
Travel: Assist in global sales events, requiring travel in the US and abroad.
Competitor Awareness: Maintain an understanding of competitor strategies and market trends.
Qualifications:
Experience in collector car sales, preferably in an auction environment.
Passion for and extensive knowledge of classic, modern, and contemporary collector cars and their markets.
Degree holder or equivalent experience.
Proven business acumen and valuation skills, with a network of contacts or willingness to build one.
Functional knowledge of auction processes and procedures.
Flexibility, strong time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines and pressure.
Attention to detail and high levels of professionalism.

Competitive base salary with commission upon successful completion of sales.
